👩‍🎓👨‍🎓 Today, we held a meeting with the rectors and vice-rectors of public universities in Kosovo, with a primary focus on improving the inclusion of students from the Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian communities in higher education.

📝 During the discussions, experiences were shared regarding the implementation of affirmative action quotas, and the main challenges faced by these students were identified, including economic, social, and cultural barriers. Special attention was given to the need for updating Administrative Instruction No. 09/2016, including:

• Improving quotas based on ethnic background;
• Facilitating verification of ethnic background;
• Financial support and access to university services (dormitories and cafeterias);
• Use of the languages of ethnic communities.

🔗 The recommendations from the participants were recorded and will be included in the final report, as part of our efforts to create a more inclusive and equitable educational system for all.
