📢 "When the media highlights ethnicity in headlines, referring to ethnic communities such as Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptians, it shifts the focus from the subject or the treatment of the case to ethnicity," – this message opened today's meeting in Tirana, part of a visit bringing together journalists from diverse communities, organized by DW News in cooperation with Voice of Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptians.

🤝 Journalists from Kosovo and Albania discussed the importance of mutual collaboration between journalists from ethnic communities and those from the majority community. Experiences were shared on the challenges and successes of covering topics about and from these communities, showcasing their dedication to improving reporting standards.

🔶 The meeting included information exchanges and debates shedding light on the media's role in changing perceptions of communities and their representation in print and electronic media.
